The TV series On the Road tells a story about the complicated relationship between a private express delivery company employee Yao Yuan and a psychology student Lu Xiaoou both professionally and personally during the time of reform and opening-up at the end of 20th century in China. The TV series relate to the recent development of China, displaying the characters’ patriotism and pioneering spirit,as well as China’s achievements and developments after reform and the opening-up. On the Road depicts the protagonist’s struggling in delivery and e-commerce business at the later half of the reform and opening up, and his success after all the different obstacles.
